Queer Code Meetup
Want to throw shade and learn shaders at the same time? Want to swap the gender binary for the binary system? Well, 0s and 1s and everybody outside and in between, you’re in the right place!
Creative Coding Utrecht is hosting its first Queer Code meetup, an evening where you can meet other Queer creatives, makers and digital artists to find inspiration, exchange tips and share knowledge about all things creative coding.
Speakers
We are looking for you to join this meetup as a speaker! We want to create a welcoming space to celebrate Queer creativity, where you can showcase your own work (in progress). There are no restrictions in terms of techniques, tools used, etc. Every meetup is different depending on the skills and interests the participants bring to the table. We want to hear from you, whatever intersection of art and technology you’re standing on: the more diverse, the better!
You are invited to speak for 10 minutes through a presentation or demo session. If you wish to present, sign up here: https://noteforms.com/forms/queer-code-meetup-sign-up-form-hebnkw
More Information
Do I have to be queer to participate?
No, but we will prioritise submissions by Queer participants, and those who focus on LGBTQIA+ themes. It is very important that all people who join the Meetup have an open and friendly attitude, as we aim to make this a safe space and a fun experience for everyone involved.
What will the meetup be like?
During the meetup, everybody who signed up gets 10 minutes to present their work (in progress). Then, the public can ask questions about your work, for example about the tools/software you used, tips and tricks, and so on. We often conclude the evening with a live coding jam and drinks!
