The city-wide UITfeest is coming to the CCU Studio! On Sunday 10th September we will kick off the cultural events season by opening our doors to visitors. Invite your friends and family, there will be something for everyone! You will get a taste of the activities we organise at Creative Coding Utrecht and have a chance to check out the work of our artists in residence.

CCU is where art and technology come together. Come and find out how! Artists from our community will showcase their work, and give interactive demonstrations. You can even discover how algorithms work by drawing on paper!

💫 Demo : Open your consoles, back to the future! 13:00-13:45

Explore console hacking and gain insight into the inner workings of computers by opening them up physically and digitally. Learn how to breathe new life into old game consoles and how to put your own programs on them.

In this demonstration by Rein van der Woerd, you will explore the numerous possibilities offered by technology from the past.

💫 Workshop: Live Coding Visuals

Live coding is a creative practice where programmers and/or artists write and modify code and execute it during a live performance. This practice usually focuses on music, visuals or interactive art. The audience can experience the creative process in real time, a unique and dynamic experience.

During this introductory workshop, you will discover how to create breathtaking visual artworks by combining simple features. The workshop is open to everyone, regardless of age or prior knowledge. Bring your own laptop if possible, we only have a few available.
