After a successful run of the exhibition Composting Computers, where we showcased artists' visions for a hopeful future, we continue to explore different facets of Permacomputing. That is why this October, Creative Coding Utrecht will become a Local Hub for the European PermaJam 2024 hosted by Fabbula! The theme of the jam is celebrating spontaneous playfulness and climate justice.
To recap: Permacomputing applies the principles of permaculture –caring for people, caring for the earth, sharing resources equitably– to the digital world, offering radically sustainable approaches with a focus on utilising already available computational resources.
Among other prizes, each hubs winners get to be exhibited within the main exhibition of Octobre Numérique - Faire Monde Arts & Technology festival in Arles, (France). Each hubs winning entry competes for the main Permajam prizes, awarded by an international jury and the public on November 6.
