GARDENING By Night
On 29 July we kick off the closing weekend of GARDENING Amelisweerd with a one-off evening screening of the exhibition and art installation Raumklang. After many requests, it is now finally possible to experience this sound system in the dark. Come by from 21:00 - 00:00 to visit the exhibition in the mansion and let yourself be fully immersed in the sound experience of Raumklang outside. Before the exhibition it is possible to sit down at Restaurant de Veldkeuken for dinner or a drink.
In the event of a thunderstorm, Raumklang will remain closed due to the safety of visitors, always consult the local weather forecast before departure.

About Raumklang
Raumklang by Zeno van den Broek and Robin Koek is a site-specific sound architecture, created and explored by several visitors simultaneously. The installation invites you to experience four-dimensional objects in space by listening to them; your perspective and auditory experience is continuously distorted as you navigate around and through these invisible sonic objects. Through the distillation of acoustic properties, cultural and natural history and on-site human and animal activity, Raumklang becomes an instrument of cognitive expansion. For the GARDENING exhibition, Raumklang focuses on the 'interspecies' sound dialogues in nature: explore spatial sounds made by insects in trees, nocturnal bats and many other location-specific sounds from the Amelisweerd estate. This auditory navigation gives an increased alertness to our relationships with the natural acoustic environment and the meaning of certain sounds that normally remain subconscious. This edition for GARDENING depicts inaudible natural worlds in the audible domain, preserving new perspectives on the relationship between nature and the Anthropocene.
