Calendar
At Creative Coding Utrecht we organise a range of monthly events that cater to different interests, age groups and skill level. We aim to help you develop your connection with all things coding, no matter how foreign the subject might seem to you.
Have no idea what Creative Coding means? Have a background in programming but you wouldn’t know where to start making your own, creative stuff? Or do you simply want to enhance your pre-existing skills and create even more flashy visuals, animations and more?
Filter our events by topic and accessibility level, there is something for everyone. To look up any of our past events, check out the archive.
Mesh Up: Community Radio Networks Meetup
TicketsJoin us for an evening diving into the world of radio, DIY electronics and community-run communication networks.
During this meet up, you will explore different ways of imagining and making decentralised and community-based communication networks using radio waves.
Jiska Koenders (SETUP) will introduce Radio Werkspoor, a a hyperlocal community radio station broadcasting weekly content by and for the neighbourhood. Tune in on 1332AM!
Maxigas (Critical Infrastructures Lab) will take us deeper into the world of grassroots community networks, exploring how they can be built and sustained over time.
Frederick Ekwaro-Osire (People of Earth) will share experiments with mesh networks with different communities in the North of the Netherlands, bridging ancestral knowledge in conversation with Afrofuturism.
No prior knowledge of radio or communication networks is needed. Come curious, meet others, exchange ideas, and get inspired by the possibilities of community-powered communication!
