International Open Call for two Artists-in-Residence at CCU
CCU offers two residency spots for artistic research and production around the topics of Live Coding Expanded and Creative Coding Pedagogies. Are you a resident of one of the countries participating to Creative Europe (except for the Netherlands)? Apply to this residency and we’ll work together on evolving your live coding practice, and/or develop accessible methodologies that align to the interests and needs of youngsters. The residency takes place in Utrecht at our studio: we’ll provide you with a workspace, an active community of peers and support from the CCU team.

develop new creative coding workshops accessible to youngsters
THE RESIDENCY COVERS:
- Artist fee: 2000,- euro
- Daily allowance: 25 euro
- Accommodation
- Travel allowance: distance under 5.000 km: € 350 | distance from 5.000 km: € 700 (green, visa, family and OCTs/ORs top-ups)
- Disability support daily, up to 75 euro
- Production costs depending on the project proposal
- Access to facilities and equipment
- Peer to peer mentoring
WHO CAN APPLY?
Artists, researchers and developers of all ages (over 18 years old) and nationalities that have previously worked with (1) Live Coding or (2) development of accessible workshops focused on digital creativity, and are interested in critical approaches to technology, open-source and
DIY|DIWO practices.
Candidates must be legal residents in Creative Europe Countries (except for the Netherlands) and Overseas Countries and Territories (OCTs) and Outermost Regions (ORs).
RESIDENCY PERIOD
From October 21st – to November 21st, 2024 (30 days).
DEADLINE FOR APPLICATION SUBMISSIONS
August 18, 2024 at 23:59 CET.
RESULTS OF THE SELECTION PROCESS:
Acceptance/rejection and logistics details will be communicated via email at the end of August 2024.
