Vacancy: Strategic Lead Marketing & Communications
17 Dec 2025
Creative Coding Utrecht is looking for a Strategic Lead Marketing & Communications
Creative Coding Utrecht is looking for an Education Program Assistant (communication & production) for 8 hours per week | Job opening for a paid position, freelance/self-employed | Closing date: January 15, 2026
Creative Coding Utrecht (CCU) is the platform for digital creativity. CCU stimulates creators, connects organizations and sectors, inspires audiences, and shares knowledge with hobbyists and ICT professionals. We organize workshops, meetups, concerts, exhibitions, and more.
In 2024, CCU became a Zöop, a cooperative where all forms of life (zöe) work together. A Zöop ensures that non-human voices and interests are also heard and taken into account in decision-making and working practices.
Do you believe in the social value of art and technology? Would you like to contribute to the issue of how we can help young creatives get to grips with a world in which technology is omnipresent but often remains elusive?
Piece of Code develops educational programs at the intersection of art, technology, and social imagination. Through our workshops, lab sessions, and community projects, we give participants, from young people to professionals, the space to discover new skills and build an inclusive digital future together.
For our education program, we are looking for an Education Program Assistant with a strong sense of communication and marketing, who also gets energy from organizing, supporting, and contributing ideas.
What will you be doing?
In this hybrid role, you will combine your communication skills with hands-on production skills. You will:
Marketing & Communication
Write and distribute communications about our workshops, programs, and events.
Keep our social media and website up to date and develop content that raises the profile of our projects.
Create short texts, newsletters, and visuals (in collaboration with the communications team).
Maintain contact with participants, partners, and artists.
Contribute ideas about communication strategies to reach new young people.
Production & Organization
Supporting the production of educational projects.
Ensuring that the team is well informed and that everything runs smoothly.
What do you bring to the table? We are looking for someone who:
Is strong in communication in Dutch and English, with a fluent pen and a flair for target group-oriented writing.
Has experience or affinity with social media, storytelling, and creating online visibility.
Gets energy from organizing and helping to build inspiring programs, with an affinity for art, technology, and education.
Enjoys both behind-the-scenes production and external communication.
What do we offer?
An inspiring workplace at the Boomtoren of the Hof van Cartesius.
Professional guidance and space to contribute your own ideas.
Flexible working hours and the option of hybrid working.
Appropriate remuneration depending on experience.
Are you enthusiastic? We would love to hear from you! You can apply in whatever way suits you best: with a letter and resume, a video, or any other format that showcases your qualities. Email your application to Werner de Valk using the button below.
