Ground

Ground is CCU’s long-term artistic
research program that listens to the more-than-human world.
Ground is CCU’s long-term artistic research program that listens to the more-than-human world. Rooted at Het Hof van Cartesius, it connects artists, researchers, and local communities who explore how technology and ecology shape one another.
Rather than seeing art as something to look at, Ground treats it as a practice of listening; to soil, to code, to wind and roots, to the invisible systems that sustain us. Across residencies, exhibitions and collective experiments, it cultivates new forms of collaboration and care between human and non-human beings.
At the heart of Ground lies a simple question: how can we share the ground we stand on? The program unfolds slowly, like an ecosystem, through workshops, public moments, and artistic research that grows over time.
