Calendar
At Creative Coding Utrecht we organise a range of monthly events that cater to different interests, age groups and skill level. We aim to help you develop your connection with all things coding, no matter how foreign the subject might seem to you.
Have no idea what Creative Coding means? Have a background in programming but you wouldn’t know where to start making your own, creative stuff? Or do you simply want to enhance your pre-existing skills and create even more flashy visuals, animations and more?
Filter our events by topic and accessibility level, there is something for everyone. To look up any of our past events, check out the archive.
The Creative Coding Breakdown Workshop
The Creative Coding Breakdown is a hands-on workshop by Edwin Jakobs exploring different ways of writing about creative coding and media art. Together, we’ll experiment with different approaches to describing artworks, creative tools, and coding techniques — from documenting a single project to outlining an artist’s entire workflow or developing a tutorial for a specific process. We will make use of the Creative Coding Map (CCM), a growing network of tools, techniques, and concepts used in media art.
RNDR explores how information and technology transform networks, cultures, and human interactions within hybrid digital-physical spaces. Central to the studio's work is OPENRNDR, an open source creative coding framework written in Kotlin for the JVM with over fifteen years of development.
