Werner de Valk

Werner de Valk works for Creative Coding Utrecht as programme and operation manager.

Werner is an audiovisual artist and writer, working on the borderline between art, technology and psychology. He creates films, sound installation and short stories, working with sound, interaction and absurdism.

He studied psychology at the University of Amsterdam, finished his Master’s in Brain and Cognitive Science, and, while working as a project manager in IT, he studied Unstable Media at the Gerrit Rietveld Art Academy. In line with this, he’s an artist in residence at Urban Sound Lab, a research lab focusing on the auditory sensibility of urban citizens.
