Calendar
At Creative Coding Utrecht we organise a range of monthly events that cater to different interests, age groups and skill level. We aim to help you develop your connection with all things coding, no matter how foreign the subject might seem to you.
Have no idea what Creative Coding means? Have a background in programming but you wouldn’t know where to start making your own, creative stuff? Or do you simply want to enhance your pre-existing skills and create even more flashy visuals, animations and more?
Filter our events by topic and accessibility level, there is something for everyone. To look up any of our past events, check out the archive.
Claying Futures
TicketsJoin us for an afternoon of claying, fermentation and shared stories!
In this hands-on gathering, we’ll shape fermentation jars from clay —vessels that will hold not just fermented goods, but also stories, recipes, and shared experiences. Led by artists Sunjoo Lee, we’ll inscribe our jars with knowledge, memories, and whatever feels meaningful to us, letting our gestures and presence become part of the claying process itself. Together, we’ll imagine the rituals of exchange and futures these vessels might inspire.
After the workshop, the clay vessels will be fired and glazed. They will later come together as part of a small community library at Hof van Cartesius, where they can be filled with fermented and pickled goods and exchanged with others —allowing new stories, recipes and connections to emerge along the way.
This workshop is part of Planting Seeds for Biodiversity Futures, a collaboration between CCU and the University of Twente. In our ongoing series of workshop we’ve fermented kimchi and made pickles as ways to (re)connect with each other and the natural world.
No experience needed—just bring your curiosity and a willingness to get your hands dirty.
