Calendar
At Creative Coding Utrecht we organise a range of monthly events that cater to different interests, age groups and skill level. We aim to help you develop your connection with all things coding, no matter how foreign the subject might seem to you.
Have no idea what Creative Coding means? Have a background in programming but you wouldn’t know where to start making your own, creative stuff? Or do you simply want to enhance your pre-existing skills and create even more flashy visuals, animations and more?
Filter our events by topic and accessibility level, there is something for everyone. To look up any of our past events, check out the archive.
Opening Ground Expo
On November 8, the exhibition GROUND opens its doors to the public.
The opening of GROUND is a collective celebration where CCU joins forces with the community of Het Hof van Cartesius to take visitors on a journey through more-than-human materialities, movements, and rhythms. The event takes place during U?, a freely accessible program that is part of the music festival Le Guess Who?, showcasing local and creative communities.
What happens to our sense of composition, time, and harmony when we begin to tune into the hum of other worlds?
Alongside the artworks presented in GROUND, the exhibition space and CCU studio will transform into an ecosystem of resonance, hosting performances that bring together human musicians, makers, plants, animals, fungi, and algorithms. Listening becomes a collective act of empathy and a method of grounding across species.
And don’t miss the Parrot Karaoke, an open mic for humans and birds alike, where mimicry turns into music and the lines between voice and echo start to blur. Whether you sing, chirp, or simply listen, join us for this playful exchange between species, a joyful reminder that communication takes many forms!
